An Overview of SYV Lacrosse (Boys)
Established in 2019, the SYV Lacrosse program is the only instructional and competitive youth lacrosse program in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The plan for the Bulls is to ultimately have 6 teams within the program (3 boys, 3 girls) grouped by the following grades: 2-4th, 5-6th, and 7-8th. Players of all ability levels, from any school in the Santa Ynez Valley area, are welcome.

We would also like to establish the first club lacrosse programs for boys and girls that attend Dunn, Santa Ynez High School, and Midland in 2020.

Bulls players will have ample opportunities to play year round and be the perfect compliment to football, basketball, and soccer players. The primary season for boys youth lacrosse in Santa Barbara County is in the spring, with practices starting February 29th and games played in April and May.

Each season, the staff will evaluate the participant's and assign them to the appropriate team based upon grade level, experience, athletic ability and skill level.

The Spring of 2020 will see the boys play developmental games against teams from SLO, Newbury Park, Orcutt, Santa Barbara and others. We will practice in the Valley and play most if not all of our games in Santa Barbara County.

The SYV girls will either have their own team from the Valley or they may join the SBGLA (Santa Barbara Girls Lacrosse Association) teams to play in the PELA (Pacific Edge Lacrosse Association) in the spring of 2020.

At various times during the year, some of our players may be invited to participate in more selective, competitive youth lacrosse tournaments and events throughout Southern California.

In addition, the program will also offer scrimmages and clinics for beginning players who are not yet ready for the challenge and physical demands of a full competitive season.
